Ramat-Gan, Israel - December 1, 2010 – Rocketick Ltd. A leader in Software Simulation Acceleration announced today that it has appointed Dr. Avi Fried as Chairman of the Board. Dr. Fried brings to Rocketick over 20 years of experience in the EDA business. He has previously managed Avanti Europe, formed and managed Quickturn Design Systems Israel, which was later acquired by Cadence, and has managed Cadence Design Systems in Israel. Dr. Fried has also recently managed the Israel branch of Magma Design Systems.
Rocketick has recently finished a successful first round of investment and has recently started selling its first product, RocketSim. RocketSim enables software-based acceleration of Verilog simulation runs by up to 30X, significantly reducing the verification cycle and time-to-market.
“Rocketick was able to break the dependency on special hardware for accelerating simulations, providing a software-based co-simulation solution that can seamlessly operate alongside any standard simulator.”, said Dr. Fried. “Current simulation technologies are facing a barrier, as designs become larger and more complex. Rocketick breaks this barrier, as it allows much greater coverage and the ability to cope with large-scale designs.”
Dr. Fried has participated in the last investment round, investing personal funds in the company.
Rocketick is a leading provider of Software Simulation Acceleration, enabling acceleration of 10X or more for Verilog simulations. With its patented technology, Rocketick reads the user Verilog code, with no modifications, and uses standard GPUs to significantly reduce the simulation run-time dramatically reducing the overall verification schedule.
